I am a Wisconsin native who decided to go to the University of Minnesota and absolutely fell in love.

When my senior year of high school came around, I really started to think about what I was going to do after graduation. I knew I wanted to go to college but the big question was where? I always dreamed of moving to a big city like NYC when I was young, but when it came down to it, moving to the east coast seemed unfitting as I grew up to identify myself as midwestern girl. I decided I wanted to move to a city, but I wanted to stay in the midwest. After doing some research on schools and cities in the midwest, I was quickly set on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Here, I get the metropolitan area that I had always longed for at an amazing school.

The University of Minnesota is an outstanding school offering a lot of opportunities with the large scope of fields of study, resources, and student groups. The U offers an astonishing amount of majors in almost every field. The school also focuses on research, pushes students to gain experience through internships, and has amazing study abroad programs. The U is academically challenging because the coursework of classes are demanding; the professors I've had have really made students work for grades striving to leave students with more knowledge and critical thought. Along with having outstanding academics, it is a really fun school with a great dynamic. The U has a huge campus, with thousands of students, and has a very diverse culture. There are endless groups, activities, and people to meet, network with, share ideas with, socialize, and personally get to know. There is something for everyone here. This community has been the best place to learn, grow, and live, which is why Minneapolis has captured my heart.

Minneapolis is amazing because of the people and the culture. The atmosphere makes this city unique, and the the people that I continue to meet are intriguing and friendly. Minnesota nice is a real thing! The city scape is so beautiful, and I still find myself in awe when I stumble upon a moment with pretty view. There is so much to explore here, and I always look for reasons to spend time downtown, in uptown, in northeast, and the warehouse district. I love trying new restaurants, exploring different shops, and checking out the entertainment the city has to offer. There are so many festivities and events that happen all year-round which makes the city really fun and inviting. MPLS is also a great biking city with many recreational bike paths that I love trying out. For my career, there are many company headquarters and branches here in the Twin Cities that provide a soon to be graduate with a lot of opportunity to be found. I adore this city, my home.
