My newest minor: TESL.
2017 has brought many great things to my life, and one of those was my decision to pick up a second minor with my new plans to teach abroad after I graduate. I absolutely loved studying abroad in Bali, but it only enhanced my desires to travel and live abroad more so. After a lot of research, I decided the best opportunity for me to get more international experiences is to teach English abroad. I love working with children and I love teaching, so I'm a great fit for the job, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
Well, what about my marketing degree? I still love my major and am very excited to eventually come home and work in the field of marketing. I am using my TESL certificate as a short-term opportunity to live abroad for about a year, but my future career still happily lies in Marketing. But for the moment, my plans after graduation are to teach somewhere in Asia. Although I want to explore everywhere, I am particularly drawn to Asia, and I really want to find a job in possibly China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, or Thailand. Right now I've narrowed down location to these five countries; however, there is a good chance that may change in the next six months. It's safe for me to say I have uncertainties, but I'm really excited and feeling optimistic to this new and challenging experience I will soon endeavor.
